The route is a gentle walk around Portland's beautiful Mt. Tabor Park, including an optional climb to the summit.

There is plenty of time for the whole family to enjoy the breathtaking vistas, fun activities, and interesting education stations along the route.
Both route options start and finish near check-in at Picnic Shelter A. If you are not up for the 1.25 mile option, you can have a seat, enjoy activities at the base, and celebrate with starters and finishers.
Walkers have two options:
2 Mile Loop: to the summit and back
- OR -
1.25 Mile Loop without the summit climb
Picnic Shelter A, check-in, bag/shirt pickup
Parking & Transportation
SEE MAP BELOW. Please park vehicles outside the park, in the residential areas near the SE 69th and Mt. Tabor gate, if you are able to handle a short walk. Walk to check-in area (at Picnic Area A, near the Visitors Center).
For those with mobility limitations, gate attendants at SE 69th will direct you to the limited number of parking spaces at the visitors center (near check-in and start/finish). Also, please note that benches will not be available during check-in. Consider bringing a chair to sit and enjoy the gathering from the start/finish area.
